The Viking has an optional Electric Power Steering (EPS) system that apparently "provides the industry's best balance of light feeling with positive feedback from the terrain." The system reads steering wheel torque, On-Command setting, vehicle speed, and negative feedback to determine exactly how much assistance is needed based on the situation.
On many vehicles I have read that systems like these don't make much of a difference to driving experience. A lot of people can't even tell a difference in steering when the system is on.
Do you think this will be the case with the Viking as well? Is this option really needed, or can I make do without it?
