Wheels and Tires

STI Tire & Wheel became the first aftermarket company to bolt tire and wheel combos onto the Viking.

They mounted a set of 28-inch Roctane XD tires mounted on HD2 wheels (4/110 bolt pattern, 5+2 offset - same as the Yamaha Rhino). The lug nut studs are 12mm so we used STI Lug Nut Part # LUG8, which is a 12mm x 1.25 tapered lug nut. 28” Roctane tires can be used with no clearance issues.

Look how mean the new wheels make the Viking look compared to stock

Anyone here planning to do any wheel mods similar? Im not big on the chrome rims but I'll definitely in the market for bigger wheels.

That's what Yamaha should haved from the factory, instead of the puny 25s

betting those factory 25s are for cost saving, factory 28s would probably tack another grand or two onto the price. Viking would get creamed by pioneer if there was a 2-3k price gap between the two.
Yeah, i agree with ya on that. The Bighorn 2.0's are real nice stock tire they picked anyways. I'll change out the tires/wheels one day anyways.
STI Wheels

After doing a bunch of shopping and looking on line, I decided to go with the STI3 Black Machined wheel 14x7....Once I decided on that I talked to several places about the centers. Knowing they had to be taller from when I put my ITP's on I had to get taller center caps. Every place i called either didn't know about the taller center's (including RM-ATV) or the 2 that new about them said they had been backordered for two month's and didn't know when they would get them in. I finally thought I'll send an email to STI directly and see what the deal is on them getting them out to dealers. A nice young man named Shane answed my email immediatly and said "yeah Viking does take a higher center, I have some here. Give me your address I'll send some right out to you. Do you want Chrome or gloss Black?" I answered back with gloss black and my ship to info. He said he would get them right out to me. Didn't ask for payment or anything, and I hadn't even puchased the wheels yet. 3 days later I had them. I was super impressed with this service. I immediatly called rocky mountain (because they had them in stock) and orderd STI3 Wheels. So if your buying new wheels there are alot of companies that just dont know yet that the viking requires a deeper center cap. Very impressed with STI's service.. :)

Nice to see great customer service!

I actually have STI caps on 12" ITP SS212 wheels. Some of the ITP wheels and caps work, and some don't. I like the look better than if the ITP caps would have worked :)

ITP is in the process now of updating all of their caps.
Great comparison of the stock and aftermarket wheel setup, as we can see stock wheels look boring! Aftermarket is the way to go!

Yeah those are the wheels look good. What tire pressure's you running in your tires. I got the same red machine that gives me a good Idea what mine will look like...

It would help if you could give a description of the terrain you ride in
