Im anxious to see what they come out with for a front bumper.

Does the bumper have some type of function, or is it just for looks? I don't really feel like spending >$200 on something that is really just for looks on the Viking.
Looks to have tow hooks on the mounts that attach to the frame and go through the bumper. Nice idea.
Bumpers are to protect your investment just like skid plates that serve a purpose. In my opinion they are a good investment and usually easier/cheaper to fix than a broken front fender/headlight assembly or taillight and tailgate. Speaking from experience.

From the photos, it looks like the brackets are sturdy and appear to be made from 1/4 steel, but the bumper itself looks to be 1/16" steel bent on a brake???

From the video it looks to be a light gauge steel. The round tube would be sturdier upon impact..

IO too kinda prefer the look as well. Would be nice to know how sturdy the actual bumper piece is.

Joe

I prefer the look of that bumper over the tube. Hmmm got my wheels turnin now. What would you guys think of a bumper similar to that with some tail light guards incorporated into it?
