Watch out for frozen relays! I got stranded ice fishing in the middle of a lake! The relays under the front hood compartment froze! No dash lights, no start, nothing! I popped the ones on the left bank out and warmed them up and it restarted later that day after a tow off! Arrg! Dealer is calling Yamaha about it.

Yamaha has struggled with the same problem on their four stoke sleds. My Phazer would do the same thing. It was usually the fuel pump relay. As soon as you turned the key on you wouldn't hear the fuel pump kick in. For the sleds they came out with updated relays with grease that could deal with the cold temperatures.

This is very true. I have come across this a bunch with Yamaha sleds.
This should be moved and stickied in the troubleshooting section so if anyone else encounter this issue it would be easier to determine what it is.
