My wife is wanting to add a stereo system to our viking . Is the SSV works yamaha stereo system worth the money ? Has any one got pics of it installed & how easy is it to expand ? What other systems are you using post pics and reviews of them .

I keep wondering the same thing. I was thinking the SSV sound board with 4 speakers.
I'm a little salty because I bought the original SSV works stereo and now they have 4 speakers and blue tooth

I have the 2 speaker Yamaha/SSV Works overhead stereo, and I like it alot. I have no complaints other than no remote.
Yea I'm looking at the 2 speaker box , if I want more you can add to it right ?

Far as aftermarket speakers, im not sure, but Yamaha makes a sub and 2 speakers that connect to the overhead stereo.
I saw them on the yamaha web site , I think they are made by SSV works also

yes, i think the sub and and speaker all are made by SSV. The radio part of it doesn't pick up much at all, but it really doesn't concern me, i keep my iPod in it, and that's all i listen too. Im more than pleased with it.
Viking2k14 do you have any photos of the system in your viking ? How does it mount ?

Just went out and shot that pic for ya, the speakers are towards the front of the Viking. It mounts to the roll cage with some clamps that screw into the stereo, already had thread holes in it, put the clamps on it, and just screw them in with a screw driver Not to bad of an install.

Thanks , that's a good looking set up . I didn't want to put any holes in my roof

The SSV /Yamaha overhead system is a direct fit no holes to drill install. The system is completely modular and can be used as a overhead and sub or overhead, kick panel speakers and sub.

All SSV Works/ Yamaha product use marine grade components and the speakers and housing carry a lifetime warranty.

Yes, the unit can run up to four speakers and the kick panel ad on's plug right in.
Can you add an external antenna for the radio ? If not, not a big deal . What is the warranty on the system ?
The radio part of it doesn't pick up much at all,
It would need an antenna, does it have a spot on the back of the radio to plug one into?
It's got one of those wire antennas, like on a clock radio

Ah ok, maybe extend it a bit, run it around and under the roof, might help.
I'm not to concerned about it, like I said, I listen to my iPod all the time with it. All songs that I like, no stupid commercials
Thanks for all the help Viking2k14, and Greg @SSV . I will be ordering one very soon :)
No problem!! Enjoy.
