and trying to adjust something as simple as a clock would make me not want to look in the manual, unfortunately sometimes we do have tolike I tell my kids "2 words, owners manual" and my sons reply is "real men don't need instructions

I know what you mean, everytime I disconnect the battery to do something electrical or when daylight savings time changes I have to get the manual out to see how to do it again.I wonder if they could have made it a tad more complicated?
