After having my passenger grab bar replaced because the pad was splitting then the second grab bar was doing the same thing I decided i wanted to make my own pad, and tonight I found it. For $1 at dollar general I found a small pool noodle and was able to work it over the grab bar (with factory pad fully removed) and only had to cut off about 6"

Looks great, the color even matches! Does it twist around when you hold it or does it grip pretty well?

You can make it twist but it does grip pretty well. It also makes good cushion incase someone were to hit the bar

Pool noodles are the funniest invention, but they are used so often for DIY stuff. This is a great use for one, and it matches pretty well with Viking too, since it's red. And all that for just a dollar?!
