I think we did the very first machined sheave for a Viking.

Did some testing day before yesterday.

It appears the Viking is speed limited and rev limited and after a machined sheave it still only goes 50-51.

I have a power commander coming with some special coding and rev limiter set at 8000, so I will have to see what it affects.

Low end works as I thought it would with the same gains as our rhino sheave does which is much improved take off due to moving the belt lower in the primary and higher in secondary.

We do however already have a big tire clutch kit for the Viking with lighter weights and stiffer secondary spring for secondary

Presently we can't get sheaves from Yamaha to machine, we can machine yours. Also presently the 50 mph speed limiter will not let me find out what the machining is doing for us on top end.

I have a power commander coming that will allow me to get past the limiter and see

So for right now, you can machine yours for the better take off or low end performance, we have the weights sets and secondary springs for the bigger tires as well

For the near future we will see what the PCV does for the Viking, will be the week after Thanksgiving week before I can get the Viking back for more testing, plus I am waiting on the PCV to get here

I would agree and we can already fix that with the sheave, lighter weights and stiffer spring.

The spring would be the optional part depending on tires, any tire larger than stock that is rather heavy would require it for best performance

Kinda, we can'r get sheaves from Yamaha so your only choice right now is to send yours in. Also, we are not finished testing for the top speed gains. The Viking is speed limited on top speed not rev it appears so I have a power commander with ignition in it on the way.

Hopefully will be fully tested out the week after thanksgiving
