Got divorced and she's keeping the Viking

Title pretty much sums it up. I sure loved my Viking but I no longer have the need for 3 seats. (She never really enjoyed riding with me anyway). She's keeping the Viking to use around the property (12 acres) that she's also keeping. Not to worry though, I have moved into a new place and will have a new ride soon. My little guy and I are shopping for the replacement. I hope to have something in the next couple of weeks after the dust settles. I'll keep you all posted, and by the way, I'm not going anywhere. I appreciate you all.

Sorry to hear you have to go through this, hopefully it all works out in the end.

Sorry to hear that, but on wards and upwards!

Here's my new ride. I moved a few things over from my Viking. I know the blue seats look a little goofy. I was going to wrap in blue. Instead, I have some black/gray YXZ seats coming so it won't look so funny. I upgraded a few things already.

Hunterworks exhaust tip
Hunterworks sheave
Bandit springs
Brush guard
Turn signals
Big light bar
Sound deadener on the roof

Pretty happy with it.

So.... If anyone is interested in this 2021 XTR 850 X2, she's going up for sale. I really like it in SO many ways - SUCH a great machine. SO QUIET! SO NIMBLE! SUCH GREAT SIGHTLINES. THIS was really my "go-forward" machine. I've spared no expense or effort as I had planned to keep it for a long time. I bought it with 36 miles and 20 engine hours and have owned since November of 2024. It was stored 4 hours away due to my divorce or it would have been used more. When you look at the list of accessories/mods and upgrades, you will see that I didn't think I'd be selling. I probably shouldn't.

I've lusted after an RMAX for 5 years - I'm divorced and my son likes to ride. Let's keep him AMPED! I jumped on a used one and now need to move this one along to a new owner. I hope I don't regret this... I ordered ear plugs and I'm hoping for the best! I mean, sometimes you need ear plugs to hang with a hot chick!

Selling with:
  1. 832 miles and 75.3 engine hours
  2. STOCK seats reinstalled. Black and gray instead of blue pictured.
  3. Shell Rotella T6 synthetic and Engine Butter - 500 miles ago. I run this mix in ALL of my Yamahas and have for years.
  4. Mobil 1 synthetic Gear Oil with Gear Butter in both drives AND Transmission - 600 miles ago
  5. Primary - Hunterworks machined sheave with Tinkseal and UTV Engineering roller weights 500 miles ago - TOTAL gamechanger for this machine - BEST UPGRADE I've done. Better power curve and lower cruising RPM. Night and Day. Secondary serviced with Tinkseal at the same time. Ready to go for up to another 2,500+ miles
  6. RYCO Street Legal Kit - has the turn signal lever instead of the toggle switch. Also, custom made improved mounting. Their original mounting option SUCKS!
  7. Yamaha folding windshield - clean clear and no scraches
  8. FULL SOFT CAB - Yamaha rear panel and sides. NEVER been rolled up dirty so the clear vinyl is perfect. Never trailered.
  9. Yamaha Accessory Brush Guard - THE coolest upgrade you can make to this machine in my opinion.
  10. Seizmik Pursuit side mirrors.
  11. Coming with NEARLY new stock wheels and tires. I ran the wheels/tires I had on my Viking since this machine had 200 miles so these are in excellent condition. Black wheels/tires could be included, as well as wheel spacers to get it squared up.
  12. Bandit Suspension Products STAGE 1 springs installed. Much better ride and a little lift for better ground clearance. Sway bars disconnected but four nuts can change that. After the initial break-in, a really great upgrade. No need for aftermarket shocks. Stock springs included with the sale.
  13. Moto Alliance 72" County style snow plow - used 3 times on my Viking. NEVER used on this machine. I don't even have a mount for it to go on the X2. The mount is about $130. Set up for plowing gravel so it has a rubber flap on the bottom in conjunction with the wear bar so you don't plow off all of your rock. Remove the rubber and you're set for pavement.
  14. Wires run for heated seats (not hooked up). All wiring is loomed.
  15. Wires run for rock lights (not hooked up). All wiring is loomed.
  16. Seatbelt safety bypass installed you can drive over 10 MPH without your seatbelt fastened.
  17. Can include an 8-panel switch plate with Carling switches and fuse block. Just have to cut the hole in the dash for installation.
  18. 42" roof mounted lightbar with Unique Off Road Products mounts.
This machine was pretty much brand new when I bought it. I took it through proper break-in and serviced a second time as it had it's 20 hr service at a dealer right before I bought it. Everything was re-serviced between 200 and 400 miles. I'm anal with stuff like that.

Let me know if there's any questions. I'll add pics when I can. Asking $12,000 cash located west of the Twin Cities. (Minneapolis/St.Paul)
