I'm thinking of spraying Herculiner or Durabak inside the bed of the Viking. So that it will protect the bed from abrasion and maybe deaden the sound of the engine a bit. Anybody use this stuff or something similar and how well did it last?

i was thinking the same, but not sure if i want to do that, or take it and get it sprayed somewhere and get it Rhinio lined or something else. More than likely, just do it ourselves

One way or the other it's a good idea. Adds value and protection.
I'm actually doing this to my wooden deck. Rust-Oleum makes a product call Restore for wooden decks that I'm trying. It's not cheap, for my 12x16 deck plus the wheelchair ramp (wife has MS and uses a chair) it was $178 but comes with a 10 yr. warranty.

they make good stuff, thats the brand of bedliner spray walmart sales now, i believe they have it in the spray and in the gallon cans. Not sure if if it would be better to spray or roll i t on, seems lik the roll on, you could make it thicker.

expensive? Getting it done at a shop is expensive. Another member had his Rhino lined for $125, but everybody locally wants $250, i paid $50 for the Bed liner coating to roll on and applicater kit. Im not gonna use my bed all that much, im sure it'll work just fine.

I was going to do the DIY route, but thought about it, and remembered i had a pistol that i never shot i could sell, put it up for sale this morning, and had it sold by this afternoon, made enough to get the bed done in the Viking. So sometime soon, i'll take it somewhere and let them spray it.

Some place in Woodville, Tx, where my Neighbor had his truck done, and had real good luck with it, and was very happy with the service and the Liner. He had a 09 Ram truck, got the bed sprayed right after he got it, traded in the truck earlier this year, still looked great.

I just had Line-X do my bed. They originally quoted me $200. When I got there and they saw how big the bed was he changed the price to $350. That was also to cover the entire bed inside and outside. After he was done, he called me and said it ended up being $279 plus tax. I had removed everything off the bed before I took it to them which kept the cost
down. They did a fantastic job on it. I am really pleased the way it came out.

I am a new owner of a Viking looking at a bed liner. I purchased a product sold at Canadian Tire from their floor mat section.A canadian made heavy duty exterior rubber mat. It comes in 4 sizes. For my new toy I purchased a Mat 3ft.X4ft, and a second piece 10 " X 3ft.Te The 3X4 ft piece fits perfect with a small piece cut at one corner to fit into the corner by tailgate. All i need is to cut a 6"x3ft piece to fill in the complete bed. This mat is heavy traction mat about 3/4 " thick. I am thinking it will be perfect. The mat weights about 40 lbs. Both pieces priced in at 50 dollars.
