after two days of cuttting and chisling i finally got pan off.the case is leaking so am thinking of trying jb weld, any suggestions?
the crack in the case isnt in the joint, but on the very bottom and goes sideways towards the case bolt as if it was maybe over torqued or hit the support bracket. Can you pull the front drive shaft and see if the middle gear is loose?
Any chance that happened when the middle gear failed the last time? Or possibly the case was weakened from that failure.the crack in the case isnt in the joint, but on the very bottom and goes sideways towards the case bolt as if it was maybe over torqued or hit the support bracket.
yes it is possible was from before as it was leaking when middle gear failed.the crack is hard to get too as the motor mount cross member is below it. if my repair doesn't work i might have to lift the motor a couple inches.Any chance that happened when the middle gear failed the last time? Or possibly the case was weakened from that failure.
definitely try the JB weld or a good welding shop that can braze over the crack.
for sure. might have to take the motor out of my honda foreman as it still running strong.Sounds like a perfect time to try and find an 850 motor and fabricate it to fit the Viking!
Oh dear 🤣 🤣 🤣Try this…might work 😂
