Deer Season - Skrillz Killz

Season kicked off in Kentucky but I'm not in Kentucky.

Soooo getting all my archery, rifles and gear ready for the opener in Va and WVa in Oct.. Here are a few pics from seasons past. No trophies - but plenty of freezer/table fare.

Oh, yep! I can touch it alright! By the time I went downstairs and got my rifle, he was gone. This is only the third time in 18 years something of that caliber has walked through my backyard. It’s the rut, and bucks are chasing.

In my mind’s eye he was twice as big. Didn’t want to shoot a young buck. But he’s still freezer meat!

I'm trying to understand the origins of that saying. So you're eating some kind of soup with no game meat in it because you haven't had success this season. Does the word track denote tracking and not finding?

Tag soup. Put your tags in the pot for flavor. Have eaten it plenty.

I put a couple doe in the freezer with the bow so far, no wall hangers yet, I still have over a month left of the bow season. I passed on a few and just took videos and pics of them. Should have a few big ones next year

Deer season is over here and we had a major warmup with temps in the 50’s so Remy took me pheasant hunting today.
