Just a question my Viking was running fine and now it will rev up and go it just seems to be slipping . Was just wondering if it was the clutch or the wet clutch. It will go better in reverse then in low.

Could be either one, sounds more like your wet clutch, does it have a slug kit in it. Did you smell a rubber smell, like the belt burning.

Probably the belt, did you go under water or give the Viking a hard time etc? As above can you smell any rubber?

Didn't smell any burning nor was it in deep water. I was driving around since I got it in November in high gear and was old hats not good on them. I just figured if I was going to go through the work of looking at the clutches and the belt might as well replace him while I'm that far I just use mine for light duty so I did not know if there was any reason to slug it or what the reason for slugging it was.

Had this happen on a 2014 and a 2016. It’s the clutch with centrifugal rollers. Grease gets dirty and rollers won’t move out.
