Ayo, just checking in from Northern Quebec. Currently in the market for our first SxS. The boys are getting bigger and its time to start taking them out out hunting. Im considering the Pioneer and the Viking and really like both offers.

I mean the Viking only has a 3 seat setup to the Pioneers 4 (which could be useful for bringing a buddy along) but the Viking is available with power steering which will be good for when the kids take the bugger out.

All in all im at a stalemate, maybe the community talks me into one or the other ;)

cheers,

Guy

Hey Guy welcome to the forum! I tell you the EPS is a really helpful feature, if there are any tight trails in your neck of the woods (pun so intended) EPS is a godsend, otherwise you got sore arms for days, especially if its a long haul. I know the Pioneer doesnt have EPS and that was the big reason I'm going Viking over Pioneer.

How often would you need to carry a 4th person? EPS is a big selling point to me, it's one of the features about the Viking that really stood out. I will also be letting my young ones drive the Viking so EPS will be a great feature to them...not so much to me :D

I know a lot of RzR4 owners that it was their first machine ever, and most seldom use the third and fourth seats... I mean, kids are kids and they don't necessarily share our passion... I mean not for long anyways, when its new its fun, but they rather be behind the weel or in front of the TV... As for teenagers, anyways here the law forbids sxs drivers under 18 in Quebec, not just in trails, everywhere. On atvs its 16, but sxs its 18... So most RzR4 owners are stuck with their monster and who wants to buy a used 4 seater... There are a lot of RzR4 that end up at the car auctions, I'll tell you. Plus they are terrible in snow, just get stuck and you better have a lot of strong friends !
