Anyone have a rough idea what the box bed weighs on the Viking? I took mine off a year ago to adjust the valves, and was thinking I could really cut the weight down on the machine if I had my buddy make an aluminum flat bed.

I’m guessing no one has really weighed one, but maybe I will be surprised.
Try calling a dealer and ask them what the shipping weight would be if they ordered one. I looked it up on Yamaha website and was surprised it was only $194.00 but there are also a lot of parts that attach to it.

That’s a good idea. Jeesh for that price it’s not even worth worrying about rust on the box. A guy could have that in just sanding, prepping, and painting.

I was a bit surprised when I saw that too. However, in today's economy, shipping would probably cost $250! :p
