I assembled the 66" Denali Pro Plow I received yesterday from the scratch n dent sale. As soon as the weather clears up I will post some pictures. All of the parts seemed to be well made (Beefy) and of high quality. The instructions were pretty good. For the most part it went together well but there were a few minor issues.

  1. Parts list counts seemed off in a couple of places although, it was hard to tell because many of the nut-bolt-washer combinations were pre-assembled (nice!) I did get exactly what I needed.
  2. I received four Pivot Lever Risers not two. Two of them were identical, the other two were a little different in height and hole placement. In the end this was good because the matched pair did not give enough clearance for the pivot lever to move smoothly. Through trial and error I found a pair that worked well together.
  3. A spacer/shim/washer had been packed in with the install instructions and packing slip on the outside of the one box, but there was no mention of it anywhere. I ended up using it on the Pivot Ring between the Swivel Plate Assembly and the Lift Arm Assembly so that the swivel plate would move more smoothly. I had called MotoAlliance about it and left a message for the tech. They did call me back promptly but I am pretty sure that the answer they gave me was wrong. They had said to put it between the bolt head and Pivot Ring to prevent the bolt head from wearing the ring down. Once assembled, neither the bolt nor the pivot ring should move at all which is why it made no sense.
  4. One of the weld nuts was cocked at an angle. I needed to run a bolt through it backwards before I could get it to thread in from the right side.

See attached pictures. There were no dents and very minor scratches. A great deal for $399.

I am wondering one thing. The push tubes are angled to each other, but the plow mounting plate lugs are parallel. While they fit together fine, it seems a little weird that the push tube ends run diagonally between the mounting plate lugs. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

That would be great I got the same plow deal but won't get it together for a couple months I was curious if the width of the plow while turned at the angle will clear snow in front of the front tires

Haven't done geometry in years... but for the 66 inch blade it should plow a 64.4 inch path at the 12.5 degree setting. At the 25 degree setting the path is only 59.8 inches wide.

That will need to wait till winter. Thank God.

Seriously! We just got a foot of snow last week in Minneapolis. C-R-A-Z-Y.

Looks like we are finally done for the winter.
