Good day viking fans,

I emailed Amsoil to see what they recommend and I got a prompt response.

Engine: Formula 4-stroke 0w-40

Final gear and Diff: Severe gear 75w-90

Brake fluid: series 600 DOT 4 racing brake fluid

I ran their produts in my V-rod and loved it. Let me know what you think?
Staying with OEM?

I have a amsoil rep that is not too far from my place. I'll look in to it when I get a chance amsoil makes good stuff. ;)

Good info. When I had my Rhino, the Yamaha dealer here suggested running the Amsoil Marine grade 75w90 in the differentials. He said it would help boil off any water that might seep past the seals. I've been running it for 4 years now and haven't had any issues. I'll be putting it the Viking's differentials at its first service.

I run Amsoil 0w40 in both my quads and they love it. I will be running it in my Viking too.

Can't go wrong with yamalube either for the price.
True, ive ran it for years in all my Yamaha quads ive ever owned, works just fine.

I use Royal Purple in my Can-am 800, for the engine, gearbox and diffs.
