I installed one over the weekend. It comes with a factory mount that fits under the driver's seat. Attaching the mount was a pain and the instructions were poor. A lot of work. Have to pull off side panel under driver's seat, rear panel near rear wheel, floor board in the middle, and driver's seat. Instructions said to remove middle seat and driver's floor board but it was not necessary.

I have a very long explanation why this is not a good idea but I will tell you who needs it

If you know you are running more accessories than one battery can handle then you can use one, use a isolator connected correctly which is rarely correct and charge the secondary deep cycle only battery at home so it is hot. Connect all accessories to that battery.

IF you want more details call me at the office,

couldn't you just run a larger primary battery?
Not in my opinion, I say run the smallest battery that will start it and let the charging system run the accessories.

All depends on what you are running.

A battery comes a accessory itself drawing massive amounts of power to charge it.

If you need something to run a winch that you are using a lot, you have not choice to go bigger or two to have the reserve capacity, but I still recommend trickle charging.

Dual Battery

i have just got a redarc system and a 35ah battery for mine. I will be installing it probably in the next week or 2. will let you know how I got on. I priced one from Yamaha here in Australia and I asked why so expensive. They told me it is just because all cable is cut to length/ battery box and instructions on how to install into the Viking. In Australia they retail for just under $600.00. I got out of it for around $300.00. I will be running 2 LED light bars UHF Fridge and cabin lights. :)
