As above, disconnect the battery and put a multi meter across it and see how many volts you've got, or if you don't have one of those then cross the terminals with a piece of wire and see if you get a good strong spark. Next step check fusible links and fuses. If it's a fairly modern battery charger it shouldn't matter if you hooked it up the wrong way, but then again.
And being a '14 Viking if it's the original battery then it's most likely the battery has died and it's time to replace it.
