Yamaha Australia says same engine as does my dealer. Interestingly we get a three year warranty as standard.

I rest my case. Once word hits the street, this forum will be teeming with new members.

I've got a 2015 Viking VI with aftermarket wheels and tires. Only ever changed oil in 1500 miles of work and play(if it can survive me it can survive anyone). Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned including any road vehicle. I've pulled out Jeeps with my redneck limo. That single cylinder is **** near bullet proof. Prob last twice as long in WOT than anything larger at 1/2 throttle. It ain't fast but it will get you where you need to get without spilling a beer!

28x10/12x14 itp mudlites. About 1300 miles in them. Great tires.
Previously called the Deer Pointe Limo for the neighborhood I was in until last year...moved to a bit more acreage.
For the record, my only legitimate complaint is the engine/belt noise. It's done everything else I could expect. Anyone who's rode with me appreciates the current power. Not sure they would tolerate being slung down trails any faster in such a large vehicle. Especially 6 deep.

Talked to a man today that has some good Yamaha connections, and he was telling me the 2020 Viking will be redesigned with a new engine not sure if the 850 definately bigger.Said it would be end of Sept.or Oct b4 we see it they are wanting to sell as many 19's as they can.I have noticed on the new lineup pics there is not a pic of the Viking.Fingers crossed for more motor good doors and better shocks.

I bought it from Beaches Seadoo Manly. $15990 for an 800 dps plus extras. I think they still have the $2k rebate. I Was going to buy a demo with 3 hours on it but when we started doing the paperwork it was an 18 model so he did a new one for that price, so saved a grand there.
I think the Penrith dealer had them for $16990 as well, but most others were a fair bit more expensive.
The 1000 are heaps more expensive and I couldn’t justify the extra money. Really happy with it. Very quiet, good power, the only time I’d like more is it doesn’t accelerate quickly from about 75km/h on. Top speed is a bit over 90. Not hot at all and awesome on fuel. Put a set of after market springs on, $300 US, and have heaps of clearance. If you’re ever down around Camden you can take it for a drive. I’ve been on the Defender Facebook group for well over a year and it seems they have very few issues. A lot of people have come from the Pioneer 1000 to a Defender and say they prefer them.

Ok that's a good price, especially considering the Viking is 19k here and a Pioneer 1000 is 26 or 28k. You could buy a 4wd turbo diesel Mahindra for the price of the Pioneer, with 6 speed manual, sat nav, climate control, bluetooth, cruise, diff lock, alloys, heater aircon, and road registered, and carry over a ton!

Can Am sure make a good product, the unlocked rear diff is a winner for me.
