mild lift for viking vi

I have a brand new Viking vi ranch edition. I feel like it could greatly benefit with a little bit more trail clearance. I do not plan on rock crawling this thing but I would like to stop banging on small boulders, etc. The Viking will travel in my toyhauler which also limits me on height (I have not put it in it yet so not sure how much clearance I will have). I also do not want to break axles, or dramatically lower my top end on a ride with already low horse power.

What I am thinking is a mild lift kit like 2in, and keeping the stock tires on (there brand new) maybe down the road when they need to be replaced I would put on a little bigger not much tires. Here is my questions, has anyone ran a small lift on stock tires? Will I go through axles if I lift it? What other problems will I face if I lift it? What brand lift is the best for leaving everything else stock? What lower cost upgrades would you also do?

Thanks in advance for advice.

Definately stay at 2" for axle safety. I have not needed a lift but someone else will chime in.

I have over 800 miles on a 2" Super ATV bracket lift. I'm told that axel joints are probably as angled as I'd want to flex them. I've had 0 problems and I've ridden with 29.5" terminators and 30" Maxxis Roxxzillas. Clearance is between 14.5" and 15". If you dont load it down, I bet you could maintain 12" easily on stock tires.
