Been hunting Idaho public land for the last couple years, I finally connected with a good bull a few days ago.

Beautiful country. I spent some time working out of Salmon many years ago.. loved it there. All of our time is spent in the northern panhandle now.

Just got back from my 18 day DIY public lands hunt and never saw an elk. Saw about half a dozen deer, all does, but could not get a satisfying shot, so I let them walk, plus a few had fawns and I will not shoot a doe with fawn(s). Hunted hard, but about 4 thousand sheep and 300 cattle pushed all of the wildlife out of our area. Maybe next year when the grazing allotments are in the next zone. Great looking bull, Buckg2. It keeps my hopes up. LOL.
