Time for tunes!!!!!!!

Hey guys, Im new here on the forum. I bought my first Yamaha this year and LOVE IT, I am ready to get some sound for my Viking. I'm having a hard time between the Wet Sounds, Pro Armor or the MTX sound bar. Which one sounds the best with decent bass? I also don't know where I want to mount it, in the front or back. Any ideas on which one to get and best place to put it?

I have the wetsounds 10 and the hifonics Thor 10. The Thor sounds a little better than the wetsounds but the wetsounds I've had for 3 years and have abused it and it still works and looks like new. The Thor has some nice lighting features as well. One year so far with it and no issues. Don't expect any lows from any of them. You might have to add a powered sub if you are looking for additional low's. I have it mounted on the roll bar in the front.

cactus likes this.

Looks good, I'll Check them out! I figured that i would need a powered sub, I'll get the bar first and go from there. Thanks for the reply and pics.

I am setting mine up now to use the 36" Bazooka Party Bar but will not get the party bar till labor day weekend when i run to WV to ride and pick it up when i get there. James has one of the wetsounds and says this bazooka sounds better. Timmi had the 24" bazooka party bar in his on the spring ride and it did sound pretty good and clear but was not around it when it was turned up very loud so cant say on that part. Jerhomey has a 36" bazooka now and has played around with it and said it was pretty dam loud with a good bit of bass but your not gonna get the hard hitting bass that your wanting any other way than to go with a sub woofer of some kind. 5 & 6" speakers are just not gonna thump like a 10 or 12" will.

Tried the bazookas and was not impressed. Out of the three 36" we tried all of them cut out at 3/4 volume or higher. Even doing the shorter lead and voltage regulator suggested by Bazooka.

I plan on running a little heavier wire and fuse back to power it.....you think if its cutting out its not getting enough power to it?

Will not find out till labor day weekend when i get to put it in. I am not a huge fan of a blaring radio anyways so as long as its loud enough and clear enough to hear over the motor when going down the trails i will be fine with it.

This is the radio enclosure i bought to hang down off the roll bar. Thing seems to be built pretty solid and well designed, radio fit in nice and tight also. I just plan on hose clamping it to the roll bar but haven't brought the viking down from the barn to the garage yet to see how it fits up there so may have to do some rigging with some sort of mounting plate if the roll bar puts it in an awkward position.

It was hooked directly to battery with stock leads shortened all the way to just 6" from sound bar. Started reading reviews and lots having the same issue with Bazooka. The MTX looks pretty good as well. Anyone try one?
