28s instead of 30s?

Hey guys I've really been struggling with deciding on which tires I want to get. I already have a set of Zillas and they've been a good tire so far but I want something more aggressive looking and that fills out the wheel wells a little more. Since putting on my 2" highlifter lift the 28" Zillas look pretty small and puny on my rig.

Here's where I'm struggling though. Should I go up to 30s or will 28" outback max or terms be plenty? I'll be honest, I want the big tires but I'm not sure the added weight is worth it or if I even need tires that big. I don't run my viking through deep mud and I want to skate that fine line between going big and keeping as much long term reliability as possible.

Anybody have 28" terms or outback max's on their viking? (I'm leaning more towards the outback max)

And yes I plan on getting a JBS sheave and slug kit.

2" Highlifter lift kit
JBS Extreme Sheave
KMS Slug Kit
Custom Bed Rack
52" Chinese cheap light bar

I went from 27 to 30 and now I'm ready for 32!!! Go with 30's. If your already considering them then you will be glad you got them instead of 28

If your not doin much mud, have your considered STI Outback XLT in 30"? Would be a lot lighter than the Max I would think. Cheers

2014 Viking EPS SE Matte Silver
30x10x12 ITP Blackwater Evo's
STI HD Beadlocks, 2" SuperATV
JBS Extreme 16gm OD slugged
Wetsounds Stealth6 sound bar, Bazooka 8" Sub
KFI Stealth 4500lb wide
Dynatek Fusion & Yoshimura exhaust mapped by JBS Performance.
Bandit Shocks.

Green is fastest, Blue most reliable, Black and Camo get lost in the bush, Red attracts more dudes and Silver goes deepest, longest while towing a Polaris.
Cheers

That's a good idea but I want the max because they look cooler. Who puts things on their viking because it's practical. Lol!

I'm sold on the outback max. The ride and look of the tire is flat out awesome.

I have 28" mega mayhems. They are sweet tires, but I want 30's!

I'm eyeing these big time! Thoughts? Thoughts on weight, size. Will these rub with a standard lift kit? Are they wide enough? Got stuck in 2.5' of snow with my plow and stockers. I'm kinda sick of it. Would like to clear more than a dag gone bug spray bottle too.

I see some folks have 28's that are 10" and/or 12" wide. Surface is good in snow - no? Yeah yeah yeah. I know, I've been here a while and have glanced over this topic getting beat to death. But now that I'm ready to drop hard earned $, I gots to get some validation.

Cant really help you much with this tire but one thing to consider is tippyness with a lift and 30s, I do some off camber stuff and the height with 28s and 2 in lift is about as tall as im comfortable with. im planing on getting some wheel spacers for stability to help tho

30" Blackwaters measure 29". My favorite tire of all time. Between my quad and buggy 29.5" Outlaws, 28" Silverbacks, 28" SwampWitch(MST), 28" MudliteXL, plus all the stock little ones tha bd_skrillz loves. Blackwaters - go everywhere, tough 8ply, and they do great in thick gooey mud. Ps I know nothing about snow. Cheers
